IMPACT
Impact is an application that supports users with information about parts, components, standard parts, service, standard time and tools. Impact is flexible and can easily be tailored to suit your needs. The following is a short description of the different Impact products.
Impact Online
Impact Online is used by the dealers or other user groups that shall have access to all information. A connection to Central Systems makes the information in Impact always up-to-date. The application is easily accessed via a web link.
Impact Customised Online
The Impact Customised Online is mainly used by customers. All content in Impact is optional. Which content that shall be included in the application is specified when ordering the application. The application uses the same web link as Impact Online.
Impact Customised DVD/USB
The Impact Customised DVD/USB is an alternative to Impact Customised Online. The DVD/USB is installed locally on your PC or server and can be run without an Internet connection. Since it is not online, it has less functionality than Impact Online and may not have the most recent vehicle information. All content in the application is optional.
The Impact Customised DVD/USB can be ordered with specific parameters like Chassis ID, Models, Function Groups, and Information Types. A prerequisite is that all Impact content shall fit on one DVD/USB.
Impact Backup DVD/USB
If you have a subscription of Impact Online you can choose to also receive the Impact backup DVD/USB. The backup DVD/USB is time limited to eight months and will after that cease to function. When installing the Impact DVD/USB you have the possibility to choose which content that shall be installed (Parts, Standard Parts, Service, Standard Time, Tools).
Impact in Tech Tool
The Impact DVD/USB can be installed on a PC that has Tech Tool installed. The Impact DVD/USB will be installed both as a stand-alone version and as a “plug-in” to Tech Tool.
The stand-alone version is started from the Start menu and will not have any connection to Tech Tool and its services.
The plug-in version is started within the Tech Tool menu. The Tech Tool application switches between Impact Online and Impact DVD/USB depending on whether there is a connection to Central Systems or not.
